In August 2020, Chad Cheek wanted to do something to help the arts community that had been suffering for months because of the pandemic. So he created Artarie, a curated streaming media platform.
Artarie, pronounced âar-ter-y,â debuted Feb. 12. The platform focuses on arts and cultural content for television, computer and mobile devices. This includes world premieres, live and recorded performances, online classes, lectures and exclusive content.
Through conversations with people on the various boards of directors of arts organizations he serves on, it became clear to Cheek late last summer that organizations were struggling to figure out ways to keep busy.

With so many people using this way to access films for free it s not hard to see why content creators and distributors want things blocked.
Speaking about the ban, an MPA spokesperson, said: “The MPA EMEA is continuing with site blocking across Europe. On February 5, the UK courts handed down the latest siteblocking order. Michigan Tech is a new participant in CyberCorps, a scholarship program for cybersecurity students funded by the National Science Foundation.
Michigan Technological University is one of the six latest universities to join the National Science Foundation (NSF) CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service (SFS) program, a nationwide program to recruit and train the next generation of information technology professionals, industrial control system security professionals and security managers.

Apple has bought out just short of 100 small businesses over the last six years as part of its corporate acquisition spree, CEO Tim Cook told shareholders at a virtual meeting on Tuesday.

According to Bloomberg, Cook said that Apple has been buying small companies at a rate of about one every three to four weeks. Notable acquisitions for Apple in the last year alone included VR/AR startups NextVR and Spaces, a weather app called Dark Sky, mobile payments service Mobeewave, and others. Apple has always tried to keep details of its acquisitions in the dark, but prices in the hundreds of millions for some of the firms have been suggested. Apple reportedly bought 20-25 companies in the six months preceding May 2019 alone.
